VXI Dual Binary Serial Module

● Sends and receives 16-bit word and arbitrary bit length messages with baud rates up to 9 Mbs. Handles most binary formats at high transfer rates.
● Multiple transmission modes and programmable gate and clock outputs. Duplicates most serial protocols.
Receiver inputs data upon command on when a sync pattern is detected. Captures both types of messages.
Register based interface has fast VXIbus data transfer rate. Reduces VXIbus transfer time.

VXI 4 or 8 serial ports in one module

● Four or eight programmable RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 Serial Ports. No need to remove the module to make changes.
● Multiprotocol capability - ASYNC mode standard, HDLC, SDLC, and other bit oriented protocols with custom firmware. Supports virtually any serial data transfer application.
● Asynchronous mode select character format, flow control and clock sources. Program any asynchronous format.
● Any standard baud rate from 50 to 460.8 Kbaud with internal clock. Wide range of programmable baud rates.
● Message-based or Fast Data Channel buffers for continuous high-speed data transfer. Allows continuous serial data with minimal VXIbustime.
● Programmed termination resistors for RS-485 half duplex operation. Eliminates external resistors.

VXI C-size Bare Board

● C-size Board for mounting devices, modules or circuits. Builds a C-size VXIbus module.
Connection Pads for all VXI voltages and signals. All signals for any use.
Includes pad patterns for front panel connectors, LEDs and a Reset Switch. Easy front panel access when needed.

VXI Prototype Module Kits

● VXI-5502 has a Prototyping Board with holes on 0.1 centers plus power and ground planes. Breadboard analog or digital circuits.
