ICPDAS I-7188D is a palm-size PAC that equips a DOS-like OS (MiniOS7). Its software development toolkit is C language compilers that can build 16-bit executable file (*.exe) running on an 80188/80186 CPU. There are two free compilers (Turbo C 2.0 and Turbo C++ 1.01), we suggest users to use the Turbo C++ 1.01.
By the multi-COM port feature, I-7188D can integrate serial devices (for example: barcode reader, card reader, HMI) and use the few onboard I/O points to implement embedded applications.
The ICPDAS I-7188D is for industry applications and can be used to replace PC or PLC devices in harsh environments. The7188D controller is designed for palm-size embedded systems that require high reliability, PC-compatibility, and compactness at a reasonable price.
The controllers can be integrated into an OEM product as a processor core component. By building your product around the ICPDAS I-7188D controller, you reduce the time from design to market introduction, cut development costs, minimize technical risks, and deliver a more reliable product.
