ICP DAS have recently launched ViewPAC, a programmable controller combined with display functions. With experienced knowledge and techniques on Linux-based controllers, ICP DAS has released the ViewPAC with the Android Linux-based operating system. The friendly interface and easy-to-learn developing environment will give users a brand-new experience.
ICPDAS ViewPAC VP-23A1 combines LinPAC, a graphic display and a keypad in one unit and is equipped with a PXA270 CPU (520 MHz) running the Android 1.6 operating system, various communication interfaces (USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485 and audio ports), 3 I/O slots, a 3.5” TFT LCD and a rubber keypad, together with a wide range of powerful software and development tools.
VP-23A1 is a member of the ICP DAS ViewPAC family and provide the advantage of a high quality control system, including stability, flexibility, hard real-time capabilities, small core size, and multiple development environments (Android I/O driver, ViewPAC SDK for Linux and Windows environments using the GNU C language, JAVA and GUI software), etc.
Compared with traditional IPC + PLC solutions, ViewPAC reduces overall system cost and space, and gives you all the best features of both IPC and PLC.
Modulized I/O expansion Interface
ICPDAS ViewPAC VP-23A1 has 3 built-in expansion slots, meaning that users can choose the I/O expansion or communication modules that best match their needs in order to expand the functions of the ICPDAS ViewPAC VP-23A1. ICP DAS has already released a wide range of expansion modules, such as Digital I/O, Analog I/O, and RS-232/485, and so on.
Dalvik I/O Driver
The Dalvik I/O Driver is the Dalvik version of the ICP DAS Java I/O driver for Linux-based controllers and is a part of the Dalvik extension suite developed for industrial control applications designed to expand the function of a Virtual Machine.
In addition, the Dalvik I/O Driver is able to integrate the Android OS with the I/O module perfectly, enabling users to easily build custom control systems.
