ExpressCards
ExpressCard technology is emerging with faster speeds and better efficiency than the typical PCMCIA and PC Cards, connecting high-bandwidth peripherals to notebooks and other portables. The ExpressCard’s credit-card like format gives way to a smaller, faster and more desktop-friendly format. Gone are the days of laptops manufactured with PC Card slots and are swapped out with smaller, slimmer and thinner ExpressCard portals. All Quatech Expresscards are supported under the 32 and 64 bit Windows operating systems including Windows Vista and Windows 7. Quatech’s ExpressCard line supersedes older technology and are engineered for new laptop models.
Quatech 34mm Expresscards can be used in either 34 or 54mm Expresscard slots. As an added feature, Quatech includes their Model ADP-XP54 Expresscard 54mm adapter for 34mm cards with every shipment to improve fit and durability of the 34mm cards in the larger 54mm slots. Adding the Model ADP-XP54 to the 34mm cards improves the ability of the card to withstand normal or accidental stress and not dislodge from the slot. Quatech's Expresscards provide slot flexibilty with capability of being inserted and used in both 34mm and 54mm Expresscard formats.
